History: Lather, Rinse, Repeat

I read a slightly disturbing thing the other day. Apparently now that gas prices are hover at 2.00 a gallon a Texas plant that builds SUV's for one of the big 3 has started getting busier making more of the gas guzzling behemoths. There was also a report that stated that SUV sales are starting to go up again. Do you Douchenozzles not understand anything????? This is how the 4.00 a gallon gas started. With people who don't need a huge, gas guzzling vehicle buying gas guzzling vehicles and putting a strain on the gas reserves. Dumbasses. As for the big 3; I'd really love to see them burn to the ground, weighed down by their own greed and short-sightedness. Unfortunately, retired worker's pensions would stop and there would be about a million or so jobs lost. We can't have that happening now. That would be a disaster! It's hard to get a factory job here; most of our crap is manufactured overseas. Hey maybe that's where the bailout money should go; to help the workers. Retrain them to do something else, help them find new jobs. When that happens, then let the Big 3 die, feet twitching. Maybe they will get the hint. I don't get it. Toyota, Nissan and Honda can make diverse products, why can't Chrysler? Ford does an okay job of it; better than GM. Seriously, the three Japanese companies make SUVs, Mini Vans, Fuel efficient sedans, sporty cars, etc. When was the last car you saw Dodge make? Dodge hasn't made a car (the Magnum but who the hell wants that thing) in a long time. It's all Full-size Pick-Ups or SUVs with Hemi's. Ford is trying with their Focus to make a decent mpg rated sedan. My Wife's Focus isn't too bad. GM, boring plasticy crap, although they are making up for it with the Volt (electric car). So before you go out and buy that new SUV because they are real cheap right now, think about why they are real cheap right now. Think about the way the oil market goes up and down seemingly at a whim. If you thought about it, you'd realize that it's like the instructions on a shampoo bottle; lather, rinse, repeat.
